If God is so good and loving, why does He allow evil?

The Bible tells us that God is not only good and loving but also holy and just.  Because of sin, the world is marred by injustice, pain and suffering. But we are confident that God is in control and in His appointed time God will bring justice and eliminate all pain, suffering and evil.  Furthermore, while we wait eagerly for God, we are assured that God will work all things, even the suffering and pain in this life for the good of those who love God and have been called according to His purpose.

How can you Christians say that Jesus is the only way to heaven?

We believe that the Bible is the inspired inerrant word of God.  In the Bible Jesus states that He is The Way, The Truth, and The Life and that no one can come to God except through Him.(John 14:6)

Don't all religions teach the same thing?

We live in a world where most people believe that all religions are the same and that it doesn’t matter what you believe as long as you believe something.  And yet when you examine the truth claims made by the various world religions they contradict one another.  Thus all of them could be wrong BUT not even two, less alone all of them, can be true.  We believe that God revealed himself to mankind through the Bible and the personhood of Jesus Christ.

How can a God of love send someone to hell?

The Bible teaches us that God is the God of love and holiness and justice.  All of mankind has sinned and fall short of God’s righteous requirements and thus are deserving of eternal punishment in hell.  God owed us nothing. Yet, God saves by grace and mercy those He has chosen in His sovereignty and rightfully and justly hands out the penalty of eternal death to those who He did not choose.  From our perspective, we will never know who God chose and who he did not.  The Bible makes it clear that God desires everyone to come to salvation and in the greatest demonstration of His love He sent his one and only son Jesus Christ to this world to die on the cross for ours sins.  And that if you call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your hear that He shed his blood for you sins and rose again from the dead, you will be saved.

The reason I am not a Christian is because there are so many hypocrites in the church.

We as the church sadly profess that too often we do not live as God has called us to.  And yet God still loves us and in the process of transforming us more into the likeness of His son Jesus Christ.  We strive to be the example of faith that God calls us to knowing that if we succeed it will because of the grace of God at work in our lives and if we stumble, God will always be there ready to forgive us and pick us up again.

Why should I try church? I tried church before, but it didn't work for me.

God says in Jeremiah that if you seek God with all of your heart, He will be found by you.  We were made to live in a love relationship with God.  Church is the organism that God instituted as the means in which we encounter and experience the love and grace of God.  We pray that you would seek God with all of your heart and we will strive to help you in seeking after God.  Additionally, if you have not attended church in a while, you may be surprised to find that worship can include multi-media, upbeat contemporary music, and a Scripture based message that is relevant to your life and communicated in a straight-forward way. You'll get a chance to meet other people like you who struggled through a busy week, have questions about God, and are striving toward a closer relationship with God.  So, we hope you will join us for worship, that you may connect with God and experience His grace in a fresh way and that you may connect with other people like yourself in the context of authentic community.
